Know all men by these presents that I James Pritchett of the county of Albemarle for and in consideration of the sum of eighty pounds to me in hand paid by William Brockman Jr. of the ^said county at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledged have bargained and sold and by these presents do bargain, sell and deliver unto the said William Brockman jr a certain negro woman slave named Kizea otherwise called Kiz – To have and to hold the said negro woman slave Kezia otherwise called Kiz and the future increase of the said negro woman Kezia otherwise called Kiz unto the said William Brockman Jr his heirs executors, administrators and assigns forever And the said James Pritchett for myself my heirs executors, and administrators do warrant and defend the title of the said negro woman slave named Kezia otherwise called Kiz and her future increase unto the said William Brockman Jr his heirs executors, administrators and assigns free from the claim or claims of me my heirs executors or administrator and of all and every other person or persons Whatsoever, Witness my hand and seal this 28th day of April 1798.
