In the name of God amen I William Woods (B C Servc [or Senr] ) of the County of Albemarle & State of Virginia being Weak in body but of sound mind and disposing memory and knowing that it is appointed unto all men once to died and being desirous to dispose of all such worldly estate with with which it has pleased God to bless me in the manor & form following viz I desire that all my Just debts should be punctually & speedily paid after my decease.

First I Give unto my Grandson James Woods One Negro Woman named Mary and her future increase (if any) to him & his heirs for ever with this condition that he the said Jas Woods shall Give his Mother a decent and Comfortable support so long as she lives and also to keep & support the two old Negroes Bob & Chloe during their lives.

Secondly, I Give unto my Grandson William Woods My Desk & Bookcase one Corner Cupboard one walnut folding Table one walnut dressing table and one Pine Table one shot Gun one looking Glass three Choice Cows and all the Horse Beasts that are culled in his name over his own and one Bed & Furniture with this Condition that he the said William Woods shall keep and support the two old Negroes Stephen & Hannah during their lives.

Thirdly. I Give unto my three Grand sons John Woods Thomas Woods & Peter Allen Woods each one feather Bed and furniture.

Fourthly My Will & desire is that immediately after my decease my Negro man John shall be hired out for four years not more than five Miles from his wife (Provided she remains in the County) and the Proceeds arising from his hire be kept by Executors until my Great Grandaughter  Sarah E Woods daughter of my Grandson Wm Woods arives to the age of ten years Then it shall be the duty of my executors to appropriate the hire of said Negro John (and the Interest that may have accrued) to the Cloathing & Schooling of the said Sarah E Woods as my be necessary. But if my Great Granddaughter Sarah E Woods shall die before she Marries or Becomes of age and any of her legacy remain unimpeded It shall be equally divided between my Grandsons James William John Thomas & Peter Allen Woods and at the end of four years above stated the said negro named John shall be sold (not not out of the family of my legatees) and the Money arrising from said sale shall be equally divided between my Gransons James William John Thomas and Peter Allen Woods.

Fithly. I Give unto my Grand Daughter Sarah Key one negro woman named Esther & her increase as long as she Sarah Key lives and and at her death I Give the said negro woman Esther & her Child Jane & there future increase (if any) to my Great Grandaughter Caroline daughter to my Grand daughter Sarah Key, Sixthly My will & desire is that all the household & Kitchen Furniture that I may have any legal Claim to that is now & has been for some time past in  the possession of my Grand son James Wood Including an Eight day clock & a large looking Glass shall be considered his property & I confirmed the title of said property to him & his heirs forever.

Seventhly. My desire is that all the property that I may dis= possessed of not heretofore disposed of in this will shall immediately after my decease (or so soon thereafter as to can conveniently be done) be sold on a Credit of twelve Months and Bonds with Good Security be taken for  The same.

Eight. My Will is that my Grandson Peter Allen Woods should have two thirds of the above Bonds or their equivalent in Money (after allowing rent debts are paid) and the remaining one third of said Bonds shall be equally divided between my four Grand sons James Woods William Woods John Woods & Thos. Woods and my Great Grand daughter Sara E Woods daughter of my Grandson William Woods

Ninth. And lastly I do hereby constitute & appoint  my two Grand sons James Woods & John Woods executors to this my last will & Testament hereby revoking all other former Wills or Testaments heretofore made by me In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this11th day of July 1834.
