Know all men by these presents that I Thomas Bell of the County of Albemarle and State of Virginia for various considerations me thereunto moving have and do by these presents emancipate manumit and make free a negro woman slave named Jane who I purchased of John Kelly together with her two Children Archibald Randolph Lewis and Martha Lewis so that in future they and each of them shall be entirely discharged from all manner of Service whatsoever and enjoy all the privileges and immunities of freed persons.
